Blake & Lisa Everett
For Blake and Lisa, wine has been a part of their lives since they were both kids.
Blake’s first memories about wine were when his wine collecting father would drive up the California Central Coast twice a year and return with car loads of wine. When Blake finally turned 21, he met his dad in the Napa Valley and got really into the wine tasting experience. Some of his favorite visits at the time were the classics, Buena Vista, Mondavi, Martini & Korbel… and the most memorable was the fact that it actually snowed at Korbel that year!! Blake soon learned that wine was way better than bad gin and tonics and became quite fond of zinfandel in his early wine drinking days.
Lisa too grew up in a wine loving family. Her parents served her watered down French wine from as early as five years old, so she always had a taste for it.
Blake and Lisa visited the Napa Valley together pre-marriage and stayed at the iconic Meadowood Resort. As foodies of course they dined at the exquisite restaurant on property, however the kitchen lost power so the Chef and Sommelier had to improvise their meal. As to be expected with such expertise, they brought them really interesting things to eat and drink and it was these outstanding wine and food pairings that really opened their eyes and they were hooked.
It had been decided that the beauty, climate and farm to table movement of living in a wine growing region would be essential for these two foodies. Ever since they have lived in beautiful wine growing regions such as Paso Robles and Monterey, and now West Sonoma County. Their passion for food and wine, and a crazed notion to be in the wine business led them to join forces in Satyre Wines, where they are so far fooled that their partners in wine have at least a half decent palate.
When not schlepping wine, you can find these two hanging out on their beautiful property with their three horses, two Aussie cattle dogs Levi and Rosie (who love when Thea & Addy come to play!), and cooking up a storm.
